I have used this for a while now on gelcoat on boats, especially dark blue to remove holograms, very effective and these guys are nearly £10 a bottle cheaper than a local supplier.
3M Ultrafina (Blue) is one of my favourite finishing polishes; it has the longest working time of any of the 3M polishes and manages to bring up gloss levels nicely. Use Ultrafina in conjunction with 3M’s blue pad and you have the perfect combination. You can however use it with 3M’s black pad for slightly better results. Ultrafina is oily in nature which makes the work time better in my opinion. Look to break the product down properly and removal is very easy. Ultrafina is the last step in 3M’s three stage range; it works well, but I’m afraid to say there are better products out there is you’re chasing big gloss levels.

The polishes and compounds are colour coded with the polishing pads to ease product selection:
