Auto Finesse Tough Prep Pre Sealant Cleanser is the first pre cleanser that is specially developed for use with sealant as a “pre sealant cleanser”. Auto Finesse Tough Prep polishes and prepares paintwork leaving a perfect base to which sealant can be applied providing for maximum bond and protection.

Tough Prep Pre Sealant is especially developed to accompany Auto Finesse's Tough Coat paint sealant. With more people turning to an IPA or solvent wipe down Tough Prep Pre Sealant is the purpose built alternative is this leaving behind a perfectly clean surface.

Think of this as Auto Finesse Rejuvenate but for preparing the paint for sealant rather than preparing paint for wax.

Usage

Shake well before use.
Ensure surface is clean, dry & free from contaminates.
Using an applicator sponge apply sparingly to the surface with light pressure in small overlapping circular motions, treat only one panel at a time.
Once applied remove excess with a microfiber cloth, do not leave to cure.
Once all paintwork has been treated apply Tough Coat paint sealant for best results.

I've used it on a few cars, I found it very good at it's intended purpose when topped with TC but have also used it before other sealants too which worked equally well.

Would be 5 stars but I do feel the working time needs to be longer and also I like to be able to go over at least half the car before buffing off which unfortunately I can't do with TP as it ideally needs to be buffed off as soon as you've finished a small panel or it becomes hard work to buff.

Brilliant used by DA or hand but is quite annoying having to put the machine down every 2 mins to buff off.

Tough Prep should ideally be used before AF’s Tough Coat Sealant or Power Seal; Tough Prep does an excellent job in cleansing the surface prior to the application of TC or PS. It does not have any fillers and if used correctly, will not leave any oils behind that will interfere with TC or PS. I normally apply TP via a DA machine using a soft finishing pad; something like Chemical Guys black pad is ideal. Work into the panel until the product flashes then wipe off any remaining residue with a clean microfiber towel. Follow up with TC or PS for protection.
